The Shanghai Jiao Tong University fast track oral Chinese language   course has been specifically designed teach the basics of the Mandarin Chinese language fast.The focus of this “Spoken Chinese Only” course is on pronunciation, practice and perfection. Students will be subjected to only the most essential grammar and syntax so that full concentration can be applied to learning the language a baby does. This makes learning Chinese a real fun activity.

 

      The Shanghai Jiao Tong University Oral Chinese Summer Course consists of three levels

 

Elementary Level

Target students: students at level zero

Course plan: Phonetic training, frequently-used vocab words and sentence patterns, communication skills, common daily life phraseology.

Textbook*: Quick Success in Oral Chinese: Introduction book 1

 

Intermediate Level

Target students: Those who have completed Elementary level  and/or have mastered about 400 words

Course plan: Vocab expansion to about 800 common words, phrases and sentence patterns, improved communication skills relating to day-to-day activities, study, family and occupational life.

Textbook*: Quick Success in Oral Chinese: Introduction book 2

 

Advanced Level

Target students: Those who have completed Intermediate level and/or have mastered about 800 spoken words.

Course plan: Substantial vocab expansion, special sentence patterns and clauses. Complex  communication skills and occupational Chinese.

Textbook*: Quick Success in Oral Chinese: Basic

 

 

 

 

2012 Spring Session:

Morning session

Date: 20 Feb 2012-6 April 2012(7 weeks)

Time: 9:30am – 12:30pm (Mon,Wed,Fri)

Tuition fee: 4,500RMB

Book  fee: 30RMB

Evening session

Elementary & level

Date :20 Feb 2012 -25 April 2012 (10 weeks)

Time: 6:30pm – 9:30pm (Mon & Wed) 

Tuition fee: 4500RMB

Book  fee: 30RMB

Intermediate  level

Date : 21 Feb 2012 - 26 Feb 2012 (10 weeks)

Time: 6:30pm – 9:30pm (Tues & Thur) 

Tuition fee: 4500RMB

Book  fee: 50RMB

     Tuition fees may be submitted by cash, bank card or credit card. With the original receipt, a refund in full can be made if the prospective student notifies us in writing of his/her withdrawal from the course one week before the commencement date. If using a foreign bank card, a non-refundable charge of approximately 2.8% of the tuition fee (about RMB160) will be deducted by the bank to cover transaction costs.
