Business Information Technology Course
The evolution of Information Technology has been causing most of the major transformations in business in the last few decades.
Of magnitudes ranging from groundbraking efficiency gains to the innovation of new business models to the creation of new paradigms, these transformations have repeatedly shaked the business competitive landscape strongly enough to precipitate the fall of the losers and boost the rise of the winners.
This course will provide the students with a comprehensive presentation of the use of Business Information Technology, including the established usage in big corporations and small businesses, as well as the innovative directions and the emerging trends.
Pedagogical objectives are to prepare the managers to master the concepts around business IT components and organizations so that they can as business leaders make the most of the value that these technologies can provide while avoiding the pitfalls usually caused by poorly managed IT investments decisions and projects. In addition, specificities related to the usage and production of IT solutions in China will be covered where applicable.

The course content is based on the world reference Laudon & Laudon textbook, completed with real life cases from the lecturer and many emblematic case studies. In addition, specificities of Business IT in China are covered across the course.
